We had an unforgettable evening at sixthirtynine in Woodstock. We sat at the chef’s table inside the kitchen, which made the experience feel personal, immersive, and full of energy. We chose the seven-course tasting menu and every dish was beautifully balanced, thoughtful, and bursting with flavour. Our meal opened with a silky egg custard topped with crème fraîche and trout caviar—rich, delicate, and a perfect start. The arancini with local Five Brothers cheese was crispy, comforting and full of depth. Next came a bright, well-seasoned beef tartare followed by a parsnip and pear soup that was smooth, slightly sweet, and incredibly elegant. For mains, the scallops were a highlight—perfectly seared, paired with mushrooms and a savoury mushroom dashi that tied everything together. The lamb course followed and was exceptional, served with king oyster mushroom, parsnip purée, and a lamb ravioli that added a refined, unexpected twist. We finished with their butter tart topped with candied walnuts—Canadian, nostalgic, and elevated in every way. The service was warm and attentive, the pacing was perfect, and being right in the kitchen gave us a front-row seat to the craft behind each plate. A truly memorable dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone who loves food, creativity, and a bit of theatre with dinner.

I’ve had the pleasure of dining at Six Thirty Nine Restaurant multiple times for my employee/staff parties, birthday celebrations and/or a beautiful dinner out with a friend. It has truly become my favourite fine dining restaurant in Woodstock. The dishes are consistently outstanding—beautifully plated, full of flavour and created with fresh, farm-to-table ingredients. I really appreciate being able to support a local restaurant that values quality and locally sourced food. The service is always warm, attentive, and professional, and the atmosphere makes every occasion feel special. I also love the amuse bouche that is brought out to the table as a “simple appetizer” to start, along with their amazing focaccia bread - and their sorbet palate cleanser - is simple to die for! It is such a thoughtful and refreshing touch that adds to the overall experience. I highly recommend Six Thirty Nine Restaurant for celebrations, special occasions, or just an elevated night out. Thank you Chef Eric Boyar , Jennifer Boyar and your lovely team for a fantastic experience from start to finish every time I dine at your establishment.

We heard about sixthirtynine 5 years ago when we first moved to Woodstock, and finally we were able to try it for our anniversary today! We had the privilege of eating in the kitchen (Chef's Kitchen dining option), watching all the action right in front of us as we ate, and had the chance to chat with the chefs and staff throughout our dinner. I can't recommend this experience enough, everyone was so friendly and willing to chat with us and answer our questions. The food of course was 10/10 all the way through, from the drinks, appetizers, main dishes and dessert What an incredible experience. Thank you again Sixthirtynine for having us, we can't wait to come back! This is such a gem, and Woodstock, we are lucky to have them.

We attended a dinner seating for our office Christmas party. What a beautiful gem of a place to visit. Comfortable seating that that wasn't cramped, volume was good even thought it is a smaller dining room. The fixtures were very fitting for the restaurant and the art was amazing. We had the owner serve our table, she offered recommendations as well as suggestions on how to modify dishes for dietary needs. This was my first time experiencing a fine dining meal. The pace in which the courses arrived to the table were perfect for our table. The only thing that was a little bit off was that the steak meal wasn't as flavourable as we had anticipated. The owner came to the table right away and offered to replace the dish and provided feedback to the kitchen. She was very attentive and concerned that we have the best dining experience. In the end, we left happy! I will definitely give it another try when we are in the area. Well done!

Always a pleasure. Today we took a chance and did the tasting menu and it was fantastic! I forgot to take photos of everything but we had an excellent time. Service is always the best and the food is out of this world soooo delicious.

For starters, the food was amazing. Everyone loved everything and we had a fairly big group so I bet we pretty much covered the whole menu. Beyond the food, the service was fantastic. We had our 2 1/2 year old with us and they were so sweet with her, and everyone we talked to were lovely, it is clear the whole staff is on board with the mission of serving great food and creating a fantastic dining experience. The price is also surprisingly reasonable considering the quality of food and service. We came from Kitchener for a Christmas party and I intend to come back at some point in the future, worth the drive. It is a smaller restaurant so it's probably worth making a reservation just to be safe if you are planning to go.

My husband and I had seen high reviews about this restaurant and decided to try it for our 28th wedding anniversary (July 5). It was beyond what we expected. The absolute epitome of Fine Dining. From the atmosphere, the music, the service, and most importantly - the food. Everything was done to perfection! When we first sat down we were given a complimentary glass of sparkling wine, followed be an amuse-bouche of Pickeral belly with pea shoots and wild leek. Then we were served some focaccia with rosemary and old bay and a whipped butter. Our appetizers were the cauliflower and truffle soup, and the organic greens with almonds, cherry tomatoes with a rhubarb tarragon dressing. What made the salad extra special was the lovely almond butter the salad was set on. Next came a palette cleanser - a small spoon of a sorbet that tasted like apple pie! For dinner I had the roasted lamb with sweet pea puree, pickled onions and mint jus, with braised lamb tortellini. It was incredible! The lamb was done to absolute perfection and the tortellini....well, I could have eaten a bowl of that tortellini itself only and been perfectly happy. My husband had the drie aged beef striploin with potato puree, grilled miatake mushrooms, asparagus and a brandied green peppercorn sauce. Again, the beef was done perfectly. For dessert we had the mille-feuille (shared). It was absolutely delicious! The experience was made all the more special by the wonderful service provided by our server, Jenn. She was an absolute delight and described every single course in detail. Thank you to the wonderful staff, and the amazing chef's. We'll be back!

We went here for our 4th anniversary and WOW! The food was phenomenal and beautifully plated. Very fancy, quite pricey and upscale BUT worth it. It's a VERY small restaurant that really focuses on their amazing locally fresh menu and the menu always changes depending on what's in season. I love how they support all local businesses from meat, fruits and veggies and even breweries and coffee. I like how it's small and not busy. It's beautiful on the inside and very quiet and cozy. Our server was great and the chefs did a fantastic job! Highly recommend!
